Head Looking for Body
We were looking into a room with four large pillars arranged in a square. In the center, between the pillars the decapitated body of a beautiful eladrin was suspended in midair. Kray level 7 Human Wizard examined the construction. Strong magic had held Vyrellis body captured, but age had weakened the once powerful enchantment.
He thought for a while and then realized that a simple spectral ram would probably suffice for toppling one of the pillars. Almost bad luck that he hadn’t already done it by reflex. He aimed and sent out a huge blast with his staff. The suspended body was released and fell limb down on the floor.
Aeylin level 7 Eladrin Warlock who kept Vyrellis sphere-trapped head, carefully closed in on the body. When she got close, the body stood up and the sphere was pulled like by magnetism, mounting at the center of the body. Vyrellis screamed out.
No, I have been fooled! Don’t hurt the body! It does not know mean to harm you…
Almost instantly, the body conjured a storm of razors where Kolodin level 7 Halfling Rogue and Neiva level 7 Halfling Bard were standing. We spread out to avoid the moving razors. Kray pushed the body towards the razor storm, Neiva was just about to lure it into the razors when it moved there voluntarily. It seemed it was invulnerable to its own spells. The fight was on!
To be continued…
